Barkuma

Barkuma is a leading Disability Enterprise in South Australia. It provides opportunities for people with disability to develop skills, confidence and experience in a working environment.

Currently, Barkuma has positions available at its Elizabeth and Holden Hill sites in confidential document destruction, food and cosmetic packaging, assembly, labelling and mail outs.

“We offer a range of training opportunities, and if you wish to move into mainstream employment we can refer you to our employment service,” says a Barkuma representative.

To qualify for supported employment at Barkuma, you must:

• Be 16 years old;
• Have an intellectual disability;
• Be willing to undertake an unpaid work experience placement;
• Be eligible for a Disability Support Pension (DSP);
• Have a current NDIS plan with ‘Finding & Keeping a Job’ as a goal of employment;
• Be seeking full-time employment; and
• Meet assessment requirements.
