After a hotly contested national selection process, which included a playoff between the state and territory winners, Rhonda Morrow was voted the Grand Champion in the second annual BuyAbility Above and Beyond Awards. Rhonda is a supported employee at Summerland House Farm in Alstonville, NSW.
Rhonda’s positivity, honesty and enthusiasm inspires both her customers and co-workers. Rhonda works in the farm’s cafe where she takes customer orders, serves food and beverages and assists in cleaning tasks. Rhonda’s specialty and one of her favourite roles is a signature 'high tea' service, which she sets-up impeccably, including cutting fresh flowers to ensure the event is beautiful.
Rhonda (pictured above with her proud parents Denise and Keith) attended the Awards Ceremony at the NDS Disability at Work Summit Networking event on 20 June 2019, where she gave a very gracious speech about how much she enjoys her work and thanking her employer, her work colleagues and family. The event’s MC, Paralympian Katrina Webb, presented Rhonda with a trophy and a new iPad for being declared BuyAbility Above and Beyond Grand Champion.
