HELP Enterprises, a leading Queensland based not-for-profit social enterprise supporting people with disability, was recently selected as the winner of the Supported Employment Excellence Award.
This award recognises HELP as a provider of supported employment that displays innovative training practices for employees with disability, provides high-quality employment conditions, and offers quality employment outcomes for people with disability in the long term.
The award was presented to Help Enterprises at the recent NDS Disability At Work Summit networking event.
HELP’s Chief Operating Officer, Mr Denver Fresser said, “Realistically for us, it is great recognition that the Supported Employment model we practice here at Help Enterprises works and is adding value to the lives of our 370 supported employees – creating an overall positive social and economic outcome in their life.”
“There are far too many people to thank individually, but importantly, I want to thank the employees themselves who are the true deserved winners of this award,” said Mr Fresser. “Their enthusiasm, dedication and passion for their work and for HELP, is amazing and I am extremely grateful to each and every one of them.”
Help Enterprises operates a number of successful commercial businesses, all employing people with disability and reinvesting profits back into delivering high-quality care for those who come to HELP for additional disability support.
As a Queensland born and bred not-for-profit organisation for over 50 years, HELP’s mission and purpose remains the same: to ‘Enhance the lifestyle and independence of people with disability.’
